2024 has been tough.
Not only have I struggled with two surgeries and mental health issues stemming from my previous job, but the hardest part was dealing with the fact that when I tried to reach out to others and share my experience, they were surprised to hear me feeling sad or angry, because “that’s not who you are.”
Sometimes the worst part of an experience is not feeling heard, or feeling like the people you care about don’t know how to understand you ☹️
