I hosted a few of my friends this nye to avoid the sometimes underwhelming chaos of the night. The whole evening was filled with laughter and bubbles. I stepped out onto the patio with @suzrules to smoke a cig and, for only a few seconds, saw my apartment bathed in warm light and the sound of my friends laughing. It felt like a glimpse into a future I’ve always wanted for myself - 9 year old me praying for the life I have now. It was a small moment, but it was mine and it was beautiful.
