When I see people post and not acknowledge their commenters with either a like or comment back it just shows how the social part in social media doesn’t really exist for a lot of people. These social apps tend to be more like flickr than they are a social connection platform. The beauty in these apps is the actual engagement you can have with people, not the ego stroke that comes from likes or reposts. You can’t have a conversation with everybody of course, but what’s the point of socials if you aren’t practicing that aspect of it? Anyone can take a pic and act hot here. Once we all realize that, we can make more in depth connections that actually translate to the real world.
