Lemme square this all in my head: so we’ve collectively admitted that it was wrong for German doctors (SS Carl Vaernet) to sterilize and inject testosterone into gay men as an attempt to “cure” and “purify” them... we recognize that it was wrong to cut the testicles off of castratos in order to preserve their pre-pubescent voices (Kim Petras would be a modern example of this practice)... we also know that it was evil for the UK government in the 1950’s to offer either jail or chemical castration to homosexual men as a consequence for their “crimes”... and I'm meant to believe that gender-affirming care isn't just the newest iteration of conversion therapy for young gay men and women? I don't believe that evil people can ration that they're enacting evil in the moment that the evil is being done... to believe that would be naive. Everyone talks about “learning from history” but they never cite it in their arguments. I don't think real fascists would advocate against medicalizing, sterilizing, and removing the perfectly healthy sexual organs off of minors and vulnerable adults. Fascists would probably fight tooth and nail in favor of it, which is precisely what’s happening. What on earth?
