The more I read, the wider the variety of topics I can discuss. However, this also creates a distance between me and others. I find it difficult not to crave intellectually stimulating conversations, which seem increasingly rare in the gay community. I feel like I need to branch out into the straight world to shake things up. Right now, I’m not satisfied with my social circles; I feel very isolated.

@christopherchou So much time is spent building and maintaining muscles, yet so little is devoted to cultivating the mind. I find solace on TikTok—especially BookTok and astrophysicists who share incredible content. Their videos always leave me with something new to learn or think about. Am I becoming addicted to learning, or is my curiosity simply running wild?

@neb I feel like I’m in limbo. The people I know still see an outdated version of me that no longer aligns with who I am today. I’m waiting to meet people who truly understand the person I’ve become—those who share my current interests and life path. I’m searching for my new tribe.

Finding a new tribe is really difficult. Some of the people in your circle might not fully get the new you yet but some will. Others won’t. Im in Madrid too btw 😜

As Jon Lajoie said “I can’t have sex with your personality and I can’t put my penis in your college degree and I can’t shove my fist in your childhood dream”. The values of others don’t always align with ours, and that becomes discordant when all we want is to connect. It’s real, and hard.
