My best friend is having a destination wedding at a fancy location. Between travel and accommodations, it’s already a couple grand. I’m going, but my issue is that when I’ve asked her to visit me for my milestones (obviously not as monumental as a wedding...), she’s used lack of time off and $ as excuses. It really is that thing where single people’s accomplishments are not seen as important as couples, but I digress. What do you feel is an appropriate gift amount?
