A young woman joins an eco-commune in the Bahamas, chasing purpose and hope. As a Bahamian with ties to the Eleutheran Adventurers, I was intrigued but skeptical. Hyde’s lush writing, sapphic love story, and themes of freedom won me over. Loved this book—and of course, had to snap the photo op!
