yesterday, i wrote a poem about the importance of flailing one’s arms and then, in the pit of night, i dreamt with color for the first time in what seems to have been a soundless few years.

this last year has been the first in which i’ve learned to care for and value myself. undoubtedly, only possible in a life glittered with love and friendship. this upcoming year, no longer afraid of making booming sound and casting light, i bruise the ground that i walk on.
