just got a text from someone that used to be my best friend. she shared good news for her, and I was about to respond positively.... but the moment I said anything about it out loud I realized that i am not at all happy to have heard from her. Girl, so confusing.

i named him Mud because he’s brown. I wanted earthy vibes... Rocky or Boulder were on the table, but Mud just felt like the winner. I love how friends call him in their language; Barro, Fango, or Lodo—every version sounds perfect in a dog voice.
