I often wonder how many guys that include “looking for friends” actually define that platonically? In my experience, pretty much every guy I’ve ever met who shared a friendship interest was very obviously looking and/or hoping for something else. To offer context, I’m both open and straightforward, so there’s little room for confusion about my initial expectations. I’m sharing these thoughts b/c I’m curious about your take and experience? Also b/c I like to think this new app (joined today) diverges from my previous experience.

This app reads like gay instagram. Seems like “how many followers and/or likes can I get,” versus who can I connect and communicate with in a meaningful way.
