“I can’t do it!” I plead as it’s almost time for me to walk out on stage. You grab me and say, “Stop worrying about how things might go wrong and focus on just enjoying the moment.” I stop, take a deep breath, and recompose myself. “Not everyone gets to do this ya know? So try to have fun with it.”

“You go on ahead.” I say as you start to leave. “Oh, don’t be that way! Come on, we have all the time in the world.” You say with an almost reassuring smile. “You don’t have to have it all figured out right now.” And you were right.
