i'm mourning summer, its hands slipping from my neck. a grasp I yearned for endlessly, ending as quickly as I forget, the person I was before and the person I want to become. i'm in a new season of my life, roads yet unpaved make their way out in front of me. I'm mourning all the summers I've ever had. I'm falling asleep, with your hands slipping through mine. I mourn summer and your kiss, both beautifully brief and divine.
