This piece was a dual practice in creativity and the practice of letting go and resisting artistic commitment; nothing was glued down or fixed to the canvas at any point of making the work, and as I added a new element there were times when I was instructed by my teacher (this was made in high school) to rotate my canvas, or move a piece of material that I had already placed on the canvas. Learning to let go of my control over the piece, and releasing my first imagining of the piece, so that it can continue to take form. This is a project and process that really taught me a lot, and I still think of it today
