Tbh, dating women in France has a loophole—names. If you’ve been living here long enough, you realize the pool is quite small, and they’re all called Marion, Laure, Deborah, and maybe a couple more. And Madame Neurosis here can’t date someone with the same name as her ex. So, seriously planning on moving next year, if not to get out of my comfort zone (yes, I called living in France my comfort zone 😂), for the sake of my love life. Any place a Millennial, old-fashion, Syrian-Venezuelan Lesbian with a dog could fit right in? Recos please 😬⬇️

sounds like you’re looking for a place called Portland Oregon 😉

@kaliperry really?? Despite everything that’s going on? All my queer friends in the U.S. are packing their bags to move to this side of the pond 😰.

Wait is Marion a really common name in France?? Like I know it’s French but in the UK I’ve never met anyone with the same name as me under the age of 60 😭😭

@lunared it’s the most common name, especially in women between 28-48! On dating apps, at least 4 out of 10 profiles is a Marion 😂
