Something I’ve recently come to learn is that you don’t always need someone with you to do the things you want to do. In undergrad, there were concerts, events, and unforgettable moments I wanted to experience, but I held myself back because I was afraid of going alone. Missing out on those moments taught me something: it’s not always about who can go with you. Sometimes, it’s about choosing to show up for yourself. I’ve been getting better at learning how to exist on my own, and I think the world could use the reminder that we don’t always need another person beside us to enjoy the things we love.
