I’ve been beyond excited to see Wicked pt2 for a year, but with all the recent adds of so many big companies collaborating to put out Wicked themed things- It’s reeeally put me off?? Big capitalism and money grubbing like that is gross to me. That’s coming from an ex retail worker tho- you see the worst side of capitalism there.

@trevlom SEE, glad I’m not the only one whose noticed! It’s just upsetting to me when you can’t let art be art and they have to make it this whole thing just because it’s ‘trending’ online. Just more of a cash grab feeling this time around

@avery-ren it’s a total cash grab and it’s gonna effect the very vital messaging within it.

@avery-ren it’s a crazy reflection on where we are in capitalism

I feel like the first campaign was way more agressive with promo, merch and collaborations to be honest. This one seems very lowkey to me

@grabari Really! Maybe I didn’t notice it so much last year, but this year I see so many different companies doing collaborations this time around.

Makes me wonder if Part One did that terribly that they’re desperately trying to break even. Or if their marketing department just has no chill.

@dylpics Very true, I think it’s the no chill part! Part one was great so they coulda calmed down a bit on it lol
