Ever feel like the lgbt scene has changed so much that it’s hard to keep up? Are we thriving or losing touch with what made us unique?

I’ve noticed that with the community, there are so many levels that are to me unrealistic. You have to be apart of a group within the community, a party queen, into dating openly, being part of the 1% who are “perfect”. We all just need to come together and just be kind and respectful.

@cuttothechasefashion I feel the same way—it’s frustrating and confusing. The layers and expectations within the community sometimes feel like they create more division than unity. It’s hard to tell if this evolution is a step forward or if we’re losing something essential. It leaves me wondering if this is progress or just a new set of barriers

@mksobolevskii I fully agree. There’s enough room for all of us to exist within the space of the LGBTQ+ community. We shouldn’t have to tear each other apart to make ourselves feel better. Especially when it comes to what’s deemed attractive or desirable

@anthony-w I have to agree. And there’s too many people who think there’s one way to be gay, bisexual, lesbian, etc. There’s something for everyone. Also as someone who lives in Vegas but isn’t a club person, I go to work and go home 😂

I think people idolize the lives of the privileged, which makes them the dominant source of influence—whether we like it or not, a vast amount of what we control isn’t really within our control. So, spread love where you can and always protect yourself 🩵
