Should perhaps elaborate that I mean by high standards = specific type and a decent bare minimum behavior

I think everyone should have standards. Respect, decency, reciprocity, responsibility. Trans men deserve everything and I do not think they should settle for “less” than what they deserve.

@parawhy must be my internalised transphobia. It’s depressing trying to be on dating scenes and being afraid of how I’m viewed or if I’m good enough

@floptor it is definitely depressing because there are so many awful people out there. In my case, I am also being afraid of how I’m viewed but because of my body, years and years of fatphobia and bullying have made it difficult for me to accept my body and view it as desirable. Not trying to compare my experience to yours just saying I can totally understand and relate.

Hell yes, why should you go below your standards? You deserve everything. Give yourself some time, meet people who love you, you‘ll grow in confidence. I worried about this too back in the days.
