Approaching someone after years without contact is a genuinely weird experience. Tough situations tend to drift people apart. We then insist in maintaining a type of cold war, where no one makes the first move afraid of retaliation from the other part. Then, out of the blue, you reach for them again or they reach for you. You meet them, drink some coffee, talk about things and then ask yourself “why did this happen in the first place?”. And sometimes, just sometimes... It feels like home.
