We saw the photo exhibit of the Elton John and David Furnish collection at the Jeu de Paume this week and it was overwhelming. The images of gay culture, fashion and stars were incredible, and might be what I should've posted here. But the photojournalism was also trop rate. This image of Sept 11 brought me to tears again, and seemed appropriate to share before Friday. What horror. I remember seeing this happen live and losing my shit. One day, I hope love will overcome hate, respect will overcome fear and freedom will win.

Yesterday was one of those days I know I’ll never forget. I decided to shave my head because I didn’t want to wait for chemo to take my hair from me. My brother shaved his head too, and all my friends came to be there with me. It was emotional and scary, but having all of them by my side made such a huge difference. They turned a moment I was dreading into something I’ll always remember with a lot of love. My hair will grow back, the sun will shine again, and this will all be behind me someday. Fuck cancer.
