Is it cause you’re more impulsive when not « home » ?

I was hating my hometown and country my whole life till the moment when I moved to another side of Europe. Moving gave me opportunity to see my country from different perspective and I have fallen in love with my country as I never did. Speaking about my hometown, now I hate it even more, hahah.

rose colored glasses? Like when you’re traveling, your relationships don’t have to be fully based in reality. easier to fall faster and get that feeling of intensity, but maybe if you were to stay permanently you’d start to see more flaws

@olegs I do think traveling has switched my mind as well about my country even though I still live in here I it’s amazing hearing people saying good stuff about it, so I value it more! It’s just that I never get to meet anyone interesting 🤣

You’re living a fantasy, whether you’re at an amazing place, a amazing festival, the food is great, you even wear clothes you been waiting for to… and yes it happens you get to the top of that ride, meet someone, feels like a dream…. But, why does it has to stop there? Why does people don’t like to chase those feelings and find out!? Hah I’m willing to! ❤️

I think that knowing you have a limited amount of time when visiting a place makes it easier to live in the moment and be more spontaneous and open. I have experienced it from the other side, where I see visitors coming to my city are much more comfortable opening up about themselves than locals. I don’t know, maybe locals worry too much about commitment and they get all walled up? Visitors by default don’t have to worry about commitment, are already in an adventurous state of mind and are more motivated to seize opportunities to meet people and express themselves which seems to be great a recipe for the exciting mix of feelings we tend to call “falling in love”
