Yea the slide thing where you have to wait for the “next” button to appear is giving “parents yelling at you” vibes. At this point, @cal , we often have read the policies many times (through this process), but because there is so much bush, visible penis lines, and various degree of butt crack on this app, we post something we think is ok, hoping for the best. We don’t need the lecture every time. Overall I’m super happy with this app and very glad I’ve found a cute new community here. But now with the influx of users, this grey area policy is getting to be quite frustrating 🥲. (I work in UX at a big tech company - I’d actually be very happy to chat with you about this further if you’d like to explore it!)

There isn’t much l can add which isn’t already mentioned in the error message: Collective will be kicked off the App Store if we host nudity. I know it’s annoying, but it really is that simple 😔 The ‘slideshow’ is an intentional speed bump designed to encourage people to read the rules before they post again. Before the slideshow was added, nobody read the rules and would continue posting nudity, leading to Collective receiving a warning strike from Apple. Multiple strikes and Collective is banned. If you’ve read the policy many times my question is why keep posting content that breaks the rules.. 😅 @stevenis.here Content moderation is extremely difficult because people have different ideas of what “crosses the line” depending on their culture and own experiences. However, because Collective is a queer app which is already somewhat spicy/suggestive, Collective has a huge target on its back and Apple, along with other companies who’s services we rely on to keep the app running smoothly are always looking for an excuse to shut us down, so we are required to be cautious.

Thanks for a bit more context - to answer your question @cal - it’s because I see content on this app that, based on my understanding from reading the policy multiple times, should not be allowed on the app, so my own perception of what is and what isn’t allowed is warped. Policy says one thing - content on my feed indicates something else. Sorry to hear that the app is being targeted by Apple - to be fair - after 2x having stuff taken down, I have simply taken a much more puritan approach to what I post and have not had an issue.
