Writers, two questions: What tools do you use to remind you to write on a regular basis? What kind of stories inspire you?

Not sure what the first question means specifically. Regarding the second one, many things motivate me: music, going for a walk, reading, but I think what inspires me the most is whatever content somehow related to what I’m writing. Even doing research myself gets me hyped about it :)

@die the first question is asking about tools/methods you use to remind you to write on a regular basis. Doing research can be super fun! I tend to go down a ton of rabbit holes. But totally worth it imo.

I (finally) started putting blocks of writing time on my calendar in the morning and that has helped! Once I actually sit down, I stay there, but getting to the chair is hard

and I’m inspired by stories of earlier generations of queers who started presses and just did the things they wanted to see in the world

@schmoo I love the block idea! I definitely should look into more queer stories too. Any recommendations?

I write whenever I feel like it, tbh. And mainly whenever inspiration comes to me for something to write about.
