I feel you so much ! ❤️ but to understand better: how would you say the difference you describe turns into a problem ? Is it for example that he doesn’t acknowledge enough the struggle put on queerness by normativity ? I am also wondering if his normativity somehow triggers your fear. In either case, from my humble experience, very banal advice but… talk it through ! I’m sure speaking of this can be an opportunity for both of you to know each other better, he’ll be able to reassure you, and together you’ll grow and eventually those scars will become less visible :)

@basil Hi Basil, thanks for reaching out. You perfectly described both faces of the struggle. The aknowledgment and the triggering of my fear of not being accepted. I work on it really hard and try to be more vulnerable more often by talking about it. I’m learning to trust him enough to have those conversations. He may share a lot of traits with my teenage years bullies, but he ain’t one of them. 💛
