Recto Verso is a lovely little gay coffee shop and Bambino down the road is great for a drink and small plates

Tata Burger in the marais is entertaining. Unfortunately my favourite wine bar on rue du Temple closed a few years ago which I’m devastated by after I tried to find it on Google Street View. My best advice is to go on a walk and just follow your heart to try new places (away from St Michel and Île de la Cité mobbed by tourists). Areas I recommend doing that are Stalingrad and walking down the canal to Republic or onwards to Bastille, or Saint Germain near Jardin de Luxembourg (up the hill from St Michel). In the more touristy areas, I strongly recommend checking Sainte Chapelle on a sunny day around 3pm, the sun will hit the stained glass perfectly and the light inside will seem to get you high. And just choose random cafés and order a g’ass of wine outside to people watch.
