Remember Call Me by Your Name? Elio’s father tells him in the end „You had a beautiful friendship. Maybe more than a friendship… Our hearts and our bodies are given to us only once.”- its such a beautiful dialogue 🥹 We live as if both had more time than they do. As if we could keep postponing presence, feeling, honesty, and still arrive untouched. But the heart does tire. The body changes. And a life spent trying to feel less, just to stay safe, can quietly become a life only half-lived. Maybe the point is not to protect ourselves from every wound. Maybe it is to not waste what is still here: the body that carries us, the heart that still responds, the time that is still ours to use. Not to harden too early. Not to disappear from our own lives before they are even over. Let’s be here while we’re here ❤️
