Remembering the brilliant David Hockney through his intimate illustrations of C.P. Cavafy’s poetry. 🖤 Like so many of us, Hockney found a companion in Cavafy. Enchanted by the Alexandrian poet’s tender accounts of love between men, in 1966, he transformed fourteen poems into a series of drawings that remain among the most beautiful visual tributes to queer longing ever made.
