Yesterday was the opening of my first exhibition with my art collective — Y’all have no idea how happy I am.

These past two weeks have been crazy. Finally, today, I'm having some time to breathe, but still heheh, although I'm happy with everything that's happening, I'm just physically tired. 🌱

I had my art performance “Sufocar-te” presented yesterday as one of the opening acts at the biggest festival in my city — I’M SO FREAKING HAPPY 🥹

Combien de temps dure l’éternité? — This piece is part of an ongoing project I’m developing, a series of mixed media works about love and how society is built up to perceive it. So, “how long does eternity last?”

Today I wrote another poem — Do you guys often voice what you’re feeling? Over the yrs I’ve learned how necessary it is to let things fall back into place. So I say it, write it, draw it, paint it and I often cry it too. Its all part of the process. It just can’t stay inside — things like that rot.

🌱 — It has been a while since y’all have seen my face here.

Have you guys ever tried to draw with the left hand? — If you’re not used to it, I mean. But if you are, try with the right one — It’s so freeing! That exercise I proposed to my art collective, as a warm up, in a way of exploring the precision of not being precise about the things you see. ✏️

Warm up, Art Collective ✏️ — Drawing with the left hand is definitely one of the most fun things I like to do, and yet it put us to work and explore new aspects of our drawing line and perception of things around us.

Daido Moriyama 📸 — Daido Moriyama’s black and white photography is something else — raw, gritty, and full of life. He really has a way of capturing those fleeting, everyday moments, especially in the backstreets of Tokyo. His photos aren’t about perfection, but that’s kind of the point.

Talkative Hands — Have you guys ever noticed how, the hands, they never stop talking? They’re always trying to catch some meaning to what is being put out of their mouth or eyes during the speech.

Sunday Morning Picnic — December 2024.

The name, once soft n welcoming, becomes a weight, reflecting the urgency and need to possess, fragment or consume the performer. The incessant repetition carries a suffocating rhythm, exposing the limit between admiration n demand, between the desire for connection n the annulment of individuality.

Experimental performance performed by the Visual Arts Crew and Collective Miiolo. “Sufocar-te” is one of seven performances performed by the collective. I’m really honored to have been part of it.
