Just came across a post from Basement New York announcing they are banning the use of smart glasses in their venue and the coldest shiver went down my spine: the possibility of infiltrating in queer safe spaces with recording devices. More and more clubs, bars and queer safe spaces should be following the example. Clubbing / raving has always been political: the vogue scene and queer nightlife are the definition of freedom (with all their cons). We must continue cherishing and protecting these safe spaces and create a strong community ahead of the tough(er) times.
