Not really. I loved Harry Potter when I was young and even on my early 20s, but this series is lacking the “something new” factor. Younger generations are not driven to the books as millennials were, and when almost the whole world knows the story it will be difficult to sell it again.

I am stoked for it. Growing up reading the books (multiple times, and currently on book 5) , watch the movies frequently , I’m on board. My take is that it’s not a remake of the movies, it’s a retelling of the books. As far as the controversy of JK : we can agree her opinions are ass. Raise your hand if you’ve cut off every single tie to someone or something that doesn’t have a good moral backing
