Lost my first true best friend because he was also likely in the closet but had conservative parents… some people just aren’t meant for you. Moving past that lack of acceptance is hard but it’s possible

Everyone saying cut them off doesn’t realise what a privilege it is not be alone. It’s not as simple as just cutting someone off, the real world has consequences, and people can change - some people need guidance and resources , but I do get wanting to cut someone one off it just might not be the solution we think it is

@benjaminkoru I’m sorry you experienced this, and I’m sorry for OP too. I think that life isn’t always so black and white. The grey in this situation could be relying on that friend less, having distance, and then maybe building a broader circle of friends. OP is in Russia, as queer person he isn’t safe, there are many layers to why his friend isn’t being supportive. It’s all so difficult and sad
