I hate how judgmental the girls are to black-owned brands. Other black women are the FIRST to hold these brands and founders to an impossible standard and waste no time shitting on them as soon as there’s bumps in the road….where’s the grace thats held for the mediocre legacy brands??? Now we lost Hanifa before I could even afford to add a piece to my collection 😒 im irritated

This whole Hanifa moment deserves a much bigger conversation. They were dragging that poor brand for months despite it being an amazing fashion house with a die-hard customers. Ppl act so blind sometimes, like we all know the current administration is destroying international trade. Late delivery wasn’t entirely the brand’s fault - it’s the government blocking international distribution and increasing tariffs on imports. It’s sad and unfortunate when ppl ignore the bigger picture.

@sierramichhh Like all the issues ive been seeing ppl complain about are actually all trumps fault….critical thinking is sooo dead😩

@sierramichhh YES! To my understanding, the main issue is Hanifa had a big Black Friday sale with a promise of delivery by Christmas. But by Jan/Feb many customers still did not receive their orders. So they started dragging the company. Mind you Hanifa is a premium/luxury brand, not fast fashion like SHEIN. When it comes to distribution and shipping, it’s a whole situation largely out of their control. Yet the girls will wait 6 months to 2 years for a used Birkin bag without a single complaint.
