I don’t know if this is the place for a little poetic theme. Feels like I need to get this out. Eighteen Months Eighteen months ago, something in me went quiet. Not the kind of quiet that heals. The kind that hollows. I have buried people I loved and grieved them true, but nothing prepared me for this. A loss with no casket, no ceremony, just an absence that keeps unpacking its bags and staying. I keep waiting for the version of me that laughs without checking first if it’s allowed to. I don’t know if he’s coming back. I only know I’m still here, still breathing through the parts that don’t make sense yet.

❤️ sorry for your loss and I hope you heal. I used to write songs about these kinds of feelings 🫶🏽

@lafi I’m healing thankfully. Time doesn’t work the same way it does for loss as it does for other things.

@nathan91 I know, it took a long time for me to get over my uncle passing 2 years ago, I wrote a song and everything. Grief is definitely unpredictable on how long you feel it

@lafi it's definitely very true, and sorry for your loss as well. I'd love to hear your song if you want to connect, or even just send me the lyrics. Since music is such a healing art and also a big part of my creative process. Grief is a special kind of suffering, but the bright side is there's so much to learn from it

@nathan91 I’ll get the lyrics off my laptop later. And yea, music/dancing has always been a great way to express emotion for me
