Safe space: One time when I was in high school I saw this girl eating either tuna fish or egg salad with chucks of pickles in it. I laughed and told her that was weird and she gave me the weirdest look and looked at me like I was the dumbass. And she was correct I didn’t make the connection (an embarrassing amount of YEARS later) that relish and pickles are one and the same. And I think about that every time I used relish and cringe a little bit. I’ve never told anyone.
