Yes, that is a very big concern. Especially in the year 2025. 🥺🥺🥺🥺

Very much. Micro-aggression is real. I struggle with it often - esp in small cities.

Ive been out since 1995 and it has changed a bit at least the gays appreciate Asian and Black and Latina drag queens now even if it’s not in the bedroom when I used to perform, it was always such a struggle to even be seen, but thank God for RuPaul‘s drag race that platform has opened a lot of people‘s eyes to see beyond the color of a performer skin and actually look at the performance and what it is that they’re giving and not to me is cool in the bedroom. It’s a completely different situation unfortunately and it is very sad people love a stereotype of black thug with a big cock for instance but racism is real outside of our community and it’s just prevalent in our community. I am so much older now I honestly feel like I fought for so much for so long. it’s time for beautiful young people to actually do something about it and I wish you all so much love and luck. I am here for you.

On this note how do you all deal with racial preferences in dating and sex? Personally it’s been really hard for me to even connect with my white gay friends without feeling resentment of their privilege 😐

@itsdil I am in the same boat and i feel the same way sometimes! being ignored by your own community is cruel.

Yes. Trying to call it out, a little more difficult… no one is blatantly racist in the community, yknow… but it takes skill to recognize the micro-aggressions and address it well, in real time.. yknow what I mean.. 🤔

@juvenlee_surrealart agreed. people are always nice to the faces. Personal experiences - “I am attracted to people with your skin tone” or “I don’t date someone not from here” or “where are you ACTUALLY from”. Hate being fetishized or ostracized- which happens more than normal - even making friends.

@itsdil hmmm… first things first, you have to recognize the field. You have to really understand the dynamic forces shaping your individual reality. Then reconnecting to your sources of power. Silencing the noise, clarifying the truth. Once you’ve regained spiritual equilibrium drawing, attracting and walking towards them and those on the same path of enlightenment. Rejecting, resisting, detaching, avoiding, refusing perspectives or mindsets that continue the cycles of discrimination, prejudice… 🫶🏽

@itsdil if your white friends feed your resentment; if your white friends fuel the divide, whilst you are still in utero- in the embryonic state of becoming, you should distance yourself from them… synchronizing with them, at that stage, shapes inward perspective.. find friends who resonate with wider, higher perspectives of enlightenment. They are looking for you, as you are looking for them. 🫶🏽

Yes. Concerning to see some comments on dating profiles and some of the conversations I’ve encountered with people needing to understand the difference between country of birth, current residence, nationality and ethnicity. Also upsetting when people assume some cultural facets of identity or ignorant about differences. So many sigh moments.
