Thinking about how we discuss and think about “marginalized” persons or “minoritized” persons, in ways that deminish our agency. If our decisions have not been those of hegemonic cis-heteronormativity why would we expect our outcome to be that? These narratives may orient us toward a devaluing of the lives we’re actively creating and may inform psychological distress.
