My distaste in a lot of today’s gay men is valid. In the current climate, it is unacceptable to not be unapologetically QUEER & OUT. We have spent decades curating a safe world for young gay men to come out and unless you live in an underdeveloped country, SHAME on you for still being in that closet. You want to honor your family’s name more than you want to honor yourself. You are afraid of losing an unsupportive system you’ve been stuck in since a child. And you are doing such a disservice to our community by not openly engaging in queer culture. I know to some of you it sounds tone deaf, I understand the need to protect yourself against homophobia. But at what point are you going to force those cycles to stop? At what point are you going to stop giving these heteros what they want. For you to be invisible. For you to be eliminated. QUEER UP & not just on pride. Not just in our clubs. IN YOUR HOMES. AT WORK. IN YOUR FAMILIES. QUEER UP🏳️‍🌈
