Massive Attacks live show was genuinely life altering. The entire thing was deeply and overtly political with a the music feeling like background noise to the visuals for a lot of it. The messaging made dancing feel inappropriate. I walked out and overheard someone say “politics shouldn’t be part of music” which even if you know nothing about massive attack being political activists is an insane statement. It was beautiful.
