The creators need to find a way to make it easier to find people with similar interests and it would be great if the related images that appear when you enlarge an image from your feed were presented based on criteria other than the purely visual similarities. If I open someone’s selfie, it’s as likely that I opened it because I was curious about something in the setting or something the person was doing as it is I opened it because if the physical characteristics of the person: where were they, what’s the book they’re reading, what are they painting, what were they listing to… But the algorithm seems to mostly show me people who are physically similar. It’s very frustrating.
