Take the amino acid L Lysine regularly. At least 1000mg capsules every day. Twice that if you’re getting a flare. Avoid Arginine rich foods such as chocolate and nuts. You should also get some Valtrex from your doctor. Once you have a cold sore, it’s the best way to speed up the healing.

Everything they said, also: avoid direct sunlight and use hydrocolloid patches to dehydrate

Gargling with cooled down sage tea. And staying very hydrated. Avoid dairy and eat non dairy ice cream.

L- Lysine is an essential amino acid, which means our bodies can’t manufacture it, so it is needed in our diet on a regular basis. Its key roles are: Collagen synthesis, Calcium absorption, immune function -supporting antibody production and immune cell activity and anti-viral properties. It pairs well with Vitamin C as it co- activates collagen synthesis enzymes. It’s available in capsules and powder form in all health food stores.

Abreva. It’s pretty expensive but it does work. Key is to get it applied as early as possible.
