Other people. They bring to your life something that you don’t have (in one or another way) and that results in new experience which result in self love. Haha, pretty difficult to explain what I mean..

@olegs i get what you mean, having company can multiply exploration experiences, bounce ideas off each other, help encourage you to dip a toe outside your comfort zone

It’s a beautiful question, really. What helped for me is: The person who got your back the most, is yourself. Surviving what life throws at us and seeing how far we come, the past you would be proud. Treating our own selves with the same kindness and respect as we do for others that we deeply care about. Last but not least, we often feel like we’re not worthy of love or respect, if anyone does, it’s always you. (Long post I know lol but this helps with me and I hope it helps with others)

Exactly the opposite. I mean, being replaced, being abandoned, being harmed so badly there was no other option. It sounds harsh but life is about contrasts and composed by opposites. We cannot be just in the side of “everything is great”

when my husband told me he had never actually loved me loved me. 💔 everything broke in that moment, except for my awareness that I loved me loved me and was truly worthy of it and deserving of someone who would.

@joncept took off my wedding ring, grieved, then started trying to move on.

@un.nico.de.lava we all do. My love for him wasn’t in vain, but won’t continue in the same way if it isn’t reciprocated. That’s what love for myself has to look like.

This might seem weird, but looking at myself naked. I wouldn’t say I was ashamed of my body or hiding from it, but forcing myself to look at myself helped me realize that I was objectifying myself.

@lone_wanderer omg I need to try this. I've also heard that looking at your face in the mirror more often can help with self image

@joncept I also like to listen to hype/empowering music while I’m looking at myself. Megan the Stallion has truly boosted my self confidence.

@lone_wanderer so I just need to have staring sessions with myself and blast some gay music 👀📝

My husband (now ex) ..although our relationship didn’t make it. I learnt the most I have ever learnt about myself because of him. He doesn’t know this but he really saved me from myself. The continuous toxic cycle of our marriage forced me to look at myself , my behaviours and who I was becoming. I never really understood the term “love yourself” until recently, when you take the time to understand your triggers, your patterns, your behaviours it really is the deepest form of self love. Sadly he didn’t get this version of me. ❤️
