If I’m honest? Yes. Especially in the gay community, being even slightly above average in weight - I truly believe you’re put in a subconscious niche by your own community. When you already suffer low self-esteem you even start putting yourself in those boxes. I’ve had little success on this app. Nothing substantial yet but I don’t give up hope. I found it disheartening that the app physically makes you follow thirst traps and constantly recommends them to you while you’re on here, what kind of message is this? I’m average, I’m proud to be. So show me average, let me meet my people. These incredibly attractive men aren’t going to interact with me as much as I’d like to interact with them, that’s the truth of it all.
