The most frustrating thing about the gay community is that friendliness is often mistaken for flirting. It feels like people assume you’re interested in sex rather than just looking for genuine friendships. Moving to a new city has made this even more obvious. I’ve even had people suggest that we could “make out and still be just friends.”
