One Verry suprising side benefit Ive been gettin from this app is, slightly more confidence with my body image! I see other guys posting pictures with similar body types to me, BUT with Much much more confidence. And its like, damn, why or what am I worried about?

@timosworld I have scoliosis, I dont want peoeple to make fun of my back or that my waiste isnt even, or my shoulders/hips arent even. Ive figured out workouts that help but yeah, super self conscience with out a shirt. There are time when Im just walking around, see my reflection and damn, left shoulder looks to be a few inches lower than the right. Then I have to adjust my shoulders so they look even.

What do you think of people who make fun of others for being themselves?

Theyre not cool and could possably have similar insecurities about their selves

@mikevi so what would you suggest your best friend if he told you that he is afraid of the reaction of these people?

@timosworld That can deffinantly be a “Do as I say not as I do” sort of situation because yeah, Id tell my friends to not worry about what randome no name nobodies have to say about you, even though I for some reason cant do it with my back. I dont care about what anyone thinks about me in general, but like my back. It liturally shapes how people see you and Everyone no matter how hard they try, everyone judges based on appearance, then they decides to go with that judgement or against it.

@mikevi What do others think about your back? Do they all think the same?

@timosworld After like 2-3 people made fun of my back for the same thing, I just stoped doing things that would require me to take my shirt off. Out of sight, out if mind.

@mikevi Showing your vulnerability, your authentic self, to others can be really powerful. I wish you that you can put your self-love over the mean comments of strangers, soon. It's a journey though, so be kind and patient with yourself. 🙂

I work in health comms, I find it interesting when people are open about their conditions and raise awareness. It isn’t an easy thing to do if people have been unkind in the past, but the more we know, the less ignorance in the world. Own it, tell your story. Representation matters.

@mikevi it’s still what you think about yourself. But that’s not at all what other people think about you - usually other people are much nicer to you than yourself. And what you see as flaws and is stopping you, other people might not see at all or just don’t care. And for the people that will tell you some shit, just know that they are even more insecure than yourself - they don’t like themselves so they feel the need to push back other people. And it comes from a person with pretty noticable scoliosis (gets better with workouts but will be visible forever) and vitiligo (white skin patches on the whole body and face, not treatable). I still take my shirt off whenever I want. Just be yourself and don’t think about what others think :) See your flaws but more like your identity than something to worry about (and what others might notice).
