I just moved out of my hometown to a big city for the first time at 30 years old. What are some ways that I can make friends outside of work, school, and clubbing? I’m dying for platonic connection here but get SOOO anxious sometimes about meeting new people

Facebook groups that align with your hobbies, meetup app, insta groups. I’ve lived in 5 different states, this is how i’ve always found my community. Good luck! Chicago is so cool!

Join some kind of organization! When i moved from NYC to NJ i joined a rescue squad and these folks have been my absolute lifeline

Ironic that the adrenaline experience my friends had booked me months and months ago landed exactly when I was signed off for burnout and told to rest 🥴 I did the skydive anyway. I figured in years to come I won’t remember how cooked my brain felt at the time, I’ll just remember hurtling to Earth at 125mph like a fuckin’ dart.
