A person in drag, with a beard and bold makeup, poses with an axe against a tree stump. They are wearing a red and blue plaid shirt, fishnet stockings, and leopard print heels.
Inspired by a post I just read here, thought I’d share one of my more queer artworks. A self portrait in response to the lumbersexual trend and rise of the man-sphere’s ridiculous standards circa 2017–at the start of my professional dive into fine art photography. The response it had left me speechless! It got me into exhibits I dreamed of. Thousands saw it! Had discussions with mother’s confiding about thier queer children—& soldiers mocking me that I trolled back… I was more aligned then than now, but life’s pendulum eventually swings you back into realignment.
