@yve also I think we need to come to terms with the fact that everyone here is self branding which is completely ethical from my point of view if you know what you are getting from it or maybe the “community” is being forced to do it unwillingly since the format requires it, but I’d love to have a more honest/open conversation about it

I see. Social media, since it is no longer anonymous and based on usernames without a face, unfortunately is about personal branding and creating, curating a portfolio in which represents this and that side of ourselves in hopes to attract partner or display an array of social signifiers. The gym is a big one, and yes photos from that do get a bit repetitive and unimaginative. I do crave a little bit more unfiltered pictures and thoughts, let people get loose and show their rough edges, their weird interests instead of the ones that (one thinks) appeal to the largest number of people

I don’t get it either, Kavi. I see beauty as fluid and expansive, and I can’t marry myself to a singular vision. I save that for the corporate world, but here, I have too much personality to water it down to a monochrome sensibility 🌈
