I never felt etarism/ageism from the queer community before quite recently. I find age based search totally fine. But ruling people out of romance/friendship just based on them not being “young enough” is harsh for me. People rely on such terrible ways of dismissing someone such as stalling and ghosting, but they could just say “you are not my type” or “I’m not interested in you in that way”, and that would be totally fine to me, I wouldn’t argue against that. In fact, I would never argue in favor of someone liking me, it sounds so debasing.

Im hearing this! I’m single after 16 years and in my early 50’s. But I much prefer the feeling I have of knowing who I am, being comfortable in my own skin and also being fitter and stronger than I’ve ever been!
