Riley hasn’t had friends or family before so struggles with separation anxiety. He was staring at the rain after some humans left when my parents’ other dog joined him quietly. I hope he’ll learn in time (like we all did) that people come and go, but friends always come back.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
