i thought getting cheated on would hurt because i feel jealous or not enough etc. but honestly, the feeling of loneliness is just as bad if not worse. of course, i have my friends and god knows how much i’m thankful for them, but they can not fulfill that specific spot that fits just right on the shoulder of the one you love. and this weird social platform where i basically know no one and joined some days ago is the only place i’m sharing this - it feels fresh, free of previous experiences and judgements, almost private. so i’m sorry for my lame ass girls and gays. it’s ok, it’s not the end of the world. i’m just putting it out there, like words on the wind.

Thanks for sharing this. Loneliness is endemic- and oddly it is a construct of our mind - just like everything else. I have definitely struggled with loneliness too and have been really trying to look deeply at what this mind construct is all about. In fact - and oddly - we are surrounded by people everywhere, and animals (like your beautiful cat), and of course nature and all the life happening there. All do this is available to us always. Learning to really see how all of this is right in front of us every second has helped me a lot to release my feelings of loneliness. I felt like I needed to really open my heart to that fact and when I did my loneliness just slipped away. Don’t know if this is helpful for you, but wanted to share in case it might be. Hugs from a fellow traveler! 🤗🌈✨🙏🏽

I am glad it was helpful - if only a little. A lot of my thinking has grown out of my Buddhist practice that I started to explore about 4 years ago after my partner died. It was a very hard time for me. I was introduced to the writings of a zen master named Thich Nhat Hanh and all his writings and books. They have been amazing for me. Really is shifting how I see the world and this life journey we are all on. Hope you have a beautiful day! ✨✨🌈🌈🙏🏽🙏🏽

My last relationship was with a “straight” guy who cheated on me constantly with cis women. As a trans woman it utterly destroyed me. But, time has passed and I’m feeling back to my normal self. Also, in 6 months I’ll be getting breast augmentation so #levelup

I’m glad you felt safe enough to share, the loneliness is strange. Luckily you have those other forms of love for the time being. ❤️

I know how you feel friend. There’s no timeline for grief so don’t feel bad if it feels hard to overcome. You are definitely not alone in this.
